This website (thealiraja.com) is operated by Ali Raja as a personal portfolio and professional profile. If you need to get in touch about anything in this policy, email info@thealiraja.com.
What information we collect, and why
This site only collects personal information when you choose to send it through the contact form. The fields we ask for are first name, last name, email address, phone (optional), company (optional), the service you’re enquiring about, and your message.
We collect this information for one purpose only: to read your enquiry and reply to it. We don’t add you to a mailing list, sell your information, or share it with anyone else for marketing.
We also collect a small amount of technical information automatically when you visit:
- Your IP address (logged by the web server for security and abuse prevention)
- Basic usage data via cookies set by our caching and SEO plugins (see below)
Cookies
This site uses a small number of cookies, all of them functional rather than tracking:
- LiteSpeed Cache — sets cookies to determine which version of a page to serve you (logged-in vs guest, mobile vs desktop). No personal information.
- All in One SEO — may set cookies to measure search engine crawl activity. No personal information about visitors.
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, advertising cookies, or any third-party tracking on this site.
Where your information is stored
Contact form submissions are sent to the email address info@thealiraja.com. The submission is also temporarily stored on the web server (hosted by Hostinger) until the email is delivered.
The site itself is hosted on Hostinger’s UK infrastructure. By using the site, your data may be transferred to and processed there.
How long we keep your information
Email enquiries are kept in the inbox until the conversation is complete and there’s no further reason to refer back to it — typically up to 24 months — after which they’re deleted. Server logs (including IP addresses) are kept for up to 30 days for security purposes.
Your rights under UK GDPR
If you’re in the UK or EU, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct anything that’s inaccurate
- Delete your personal information (“right to be forgotten”)
- Object to processing
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk
To exercise any of these rights, email info@thealiraja.com with your request. We’ll respond within 30 days.
Third parties
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. The only places your data goes are:
- Hostinger — our web host (where the site and email are stored)
- Email recipient — i.e., the inbox at
info@thealiraja.com
If we ever change this — for instance, by adding a CRM tool to manage enquiries — this policy will be updated and the change noted at the top.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, the “Last updated” date at the top will change and significant changes will be flagged on the homepage for at least 30 days.
